Giles County Public Schools
Giles County Public Schools is located in Southwest Virginia approximately 30 minutes west of Blacksburg, VA. We have approximately 2,240 students attending three PreK-7th grade schools, two 8th-12th grade high schools and our Technology Center. The county is home to 37 miles of the New River and New River Water Trail and over 50 miles of the Appalachian Trail and the Great Eastern Trail. Welcome to Giles County Public Schools! The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program hosted at EEMS, MMES, and NEMS helps young students explore, create, and solve problems through fun, hands-on activities. From building simple machines to experimenting with science and using technology tools, students learn teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking while discovering how STEM connects to the world around them.
